Retrofitting Strategy Installation of regenerative drive for lifts
A regenerative drive is capable to recycle the energy produced and feedback to the building power network. This can greatly reduce the heat dissipation, thus saving overall power consumption of lifts. As the drives generate less heat, additional energy savings are achieved through reductions in machine room cooling.

Consideration
  • The car is lightly loaded and moving up, or heavily loaded and moving down and
  • The lift is slowing down or in braking motion. The power generated by the traction machine is dissipated as heat.
