CCB Centre is a prominent Grade A commercial building located at 18 Wang Chiu Road, Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. Completed in 2011, the building stands 27 stories tall with a total gross floor area of approximately 464,120 square feet.
This modern office tower features 8 passenger lifts and 1 service lift, providing efficient access to its office spaces. The design includes a sky garden on the ninth floor, offering a green space for occupants. The building is strategically situated near other significant commercial structures and is accessible via a short walk from the Kowloon Bay MTR station. CCB Centre is characterized by its single ownership structure, emphasizing its role as a dedicated hub for the bank’s operations in Hong Kong. |

Retrofitted initiative:
iFCU Retrofit Kit (Variable Speed Version) with Modbus Thermostat.
Observed benefits other than energy saving:
- Beside of the providing iFCU permanent magnet motor, iFCU retrofit kits with programmable thermostat is also available to enhance FCU efficiency and achieve energy saving. Its ”Auto Mode” can regulate the fan speed automatically according to the room temperature in order ot prevent energy waste. In additional, it is believed that further energy saving can be achieved in auto mode in the office area.
- By replacing the AC motor, the retrofit kit of IFCU can also minimize the noise level and wasted heat generation, thus improving the motor life span. Both noise and heat are basically formed from the consumption of energy.
- Temperature control accuracy up to 0.5 degree.
- Modbus Thermostat coordinate with BMS.
General observations of the retrofitting project:
- No extra wiring works required between FCU and thermostat for the iFCU retrofitting.
- The works completed during non-office hour and resumed before working hours. Daily operation of the office is not affected.
